The Miraculous Medal in black enamel- the most contemplative version of the medal, the figure of Mary emerging from dark ground in polished silver relief. Where the blue enamel versions are warm and Marian in colour, this one is deeper, more solemn: a medal worn for prayer that does not need colour to announce its meaning. The silhouette of Mary- standing, hands extended, rays streaming outward- is unmistakable against the black ground. Small enough to sit very close to the skin, present enough to be felt. Handcrafted in our Jerusalem workshop in fine sterling silver 925 on a box chain.

Option 1: Measure a ring you already own
Take a ring that fits the intended finger well and measure the inside diameter in millimeters. Match that number to the chart below.
Option 2: The string or paper strip method
Wrap a thin strip of paper or string snugly around the base of the finger where the ring will sit. Mark where it overlaps, then measure the length with a ruler in millimeters. Match that number to the circumference column below.
Option 3: Not sure, or buying as a gift?
The average US ring size is 7 for women and 10 for men. If you're buying a surprise gift and can't get an exact measurement, this is a safe place to start — and if it needs adjusting later, resizing is simple.
A few tips for an accurate measurement
- Measure in the evening, when fingers are at their largest
- Avoid measuring right after being out in the cold, or after a workout — fingers shrink in cold weather and swell in heat
- If you're between two sizes, size up rather than down
- Wider bands fit more snugly than thin ones, so consider going up half a size for a wide band
